Click here to register Post navigation Land Acquisition Act, 1894 – Section 31 A – Review of award – It is settled legal proposition that unless the statute/rules so permit, the review application is not maintainable in case of judicial/quasijudicial orders -the law on the point can be summarised to the effect that in the absence of any statutory provision providing for review, entertaining an application for review or under the garb of clarification /modification/ correction is not permissible Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 – Section 24(2) – Land Acquisition Act, 1894 – Sections 4, 5A and 6, 17(1) – Denotification- the land acquisition could not be said to be illegal in any manner. There is no room for making indulgence to quash the land acquisition proceedings.
